By combining theoretical study with experiment methods, this thesis investigated the comprehensive damage effects of Fuel Air Explosives (FAE) to targets. On the basis of damages of shock wave, heat radiation, fragment and suffocation of FAE, damage criterions and evaluation basises to the different targets were analyzed.Comprehensive damage consequences model of FAE was established. First, by calculating the scope of individual damage of the different targets, the consequences of economic losses in every scope was obtained. Then all the individual damage scopes were analyzed and intergrated, and the comprehensive damage economic losses of FAE were obtained. The comprehensive damage effects of FAE were evaluated using the total economic losses. To personnel targets, comprehensive damage probability model of FAE was established. The relationship between single damage probability and relative distance was studied and the expression was obtained. Then the comprehensive damage probability of FAE to personnel targets was obtained with the method of statistics. In order to verify the feasibility of the two models and study the comprehensive damage effects of FAE, the field explosion tests were carried out with the typical fuel air explosives. Then the relevant parameters of each kind of damages were obtained and applied to comprehensive damage consequences model and comprehensive damage probability model of FAE. The results of comprehensive damage consequences model of FAE showed that the fragment had the greatest damage range, followed by shock wave and thermal radiation, while suffocation effect took nearly no action to people in the open explosion space. If the personnel density and property density of buildings and equipments were known in the blast field, the comprehensive damage economic losses could be obtained. The results of comprehensive damage probability model of FAE to personnel targets showed that the shorter relative distance was, the greater comprehensive damage probability was; the larger relative distance was, the closer was the comprehensive damage probability and the fragment damage probalility.
