Polypyrrole (PPy) is one of the excellent conducting polymers with good stability and high conductivity, the low solubility and infusibility restrict its processing and applications in some extent, to circumvent this problem, the best strategy is to prepare polypyrrole directly in the procedure of processing, rather than after it. The main method to improve the processibility is doping with large dopants in this article, the rigid, dimensional stability and thermal stability of inorganic particles, the toughness, processing and dielectric properties of polymers, the composit can blend together this properties with good prospects.The research results in this paper are mainly included as following:The phase diagrams of the pseudo-ternary-component about CTAB/ pyrrole/n-pentanol/water system is studied. The microemulsion region is founded and divided into W/O, bi-continuous and O/W, which is helpful to select the polymerization system. We produced nanoparticles of polypyrrole in nitrogen atmosphere by microemulsion system, the conjugated polymer is successfully synthesized and characterized by the methods of FTIR, TEM.In order to improve the processing performance of conductive polymer, we prepare dispersed colloidal polypyrrole/silica composite, this composite material can also resolve the inevitable prolbem of low conductivity reduced by silica. Using sol-gel method, hydrolysis and condensation of TEOS can prepare silica sol particles which is about 150nm in diameter, the prepared monodisperse particles have a good size control and can be well dissolved in water. By adding a small amount of ethanol during the polymerization course, it can see from the results that a uniform coating of polypyrrole appeared on the surface of silica, and the conductivity of the core/shell composite is enhanced apparemently.Polypyrrole/TiO2 composite is prepared by a reverse microemulsion method, IR spectrum shows that there is chemical bond between pyrrole and TiO2, UV-Vis shows that the conjugated polypyrrole/TiO2 semiconductors complex could absorb both ultraviolet and visible light, whereas pure inorganic semiconductors absorbed Ultraviolet light only. Photocatalytic experiment showed that polypyrrole/TiO2 composite prepared by a reverse microemulsion method has fastest decolorization rate of methyl orange dye solution, it's also the photocatalytic properties.
