Connecting rod , which is one of five key spare parts of engine, should bear tension, compression, bending and other high-frequency cyclic loading. The working conditions is poor and the state of motion is complicated. Due to the life of connecting rods constrained by these factors, there are more higher requirements for manufacturing.Due to complicated manufacturing process and long production cycle ,traditional connecting rod with the overall processing technology is difficult to adapt to market changes. Fracture splitting technology developed gradually from90 years of the 20th century, as a new processing method, greatly improve the production situation of the connecting rod. Fracture splitting technology process of the connecting rod, not only meets the high precision requirements, but also achieves high efficiency of the production, low cost and automation. Therefore fracture splitting technology process is competitive in market.According to the procedure of fracture splitting process of connecting rod, there are three main key processes: fracture splitting groove, fracture splitting , fixing bolts. fracture splitting notch , as the first procedure restricts following up processing procedures and the quality of the rod cracking. The reasonable design of fracture splitting equipment, will have a profound impacted on the cutting quality of the cracking groove.With the widespread application of laser processing technology, the end of the century, foreign researchers creatively apply it to the fracture splitting groove . Compared with machine broaching and wire cutting process , the laser processing has its unique advantages, so it is widely used on abroad, and has achieved mass production of the connecting rod. China started late in this process, only Roll Forging Institute, Jilin University, study in-depth the cracking process of the connecting rod and achieve some research . However, because of its limitations, there is still a gap between the domestic application of fracture splitting of connecting rod processing equipment and foreign application.The fracture splitting of connecting rod CNC cutting machine is composed by main machine, laser system and CNC system. It combines light, machines and electricity, meets the processing requirements of the fracture splitting groove. Based on the analysis of laser processing technology of fracture splitting groove of connecting rod, we ascertain its process, and completed the whole project design of CNC laser cutting machine of fracture splitting of connecting rod. In order to reduce the cost of the physical prototype, this paper uses the idea of modern design, set up the virtual prototype model of the machine, dynamic analysis is carried out through the ADAMS software. This paper completes the following works:1. On the basis of the analysis of the fracture splitting processing, in order to further improve the processing quality of fracture splitting groove, this paper makes some improved schemes on the existing problems of machines in the actual production process. That is the laser head swing mechanism with servo electromotor drive, Y-axis table with cylinder-driven approach.2. We can get narrow,accurate dimension and high surface quality fracture splitting groove by Laser cutting technology ,that cracking groove laser processing have an unparalleled advantage. This paper states the theory of laser cutting systems, and analyze the effect of technological parameter such as laser power, cutting speed, focus position, auxiliary gas , on the quality of the cutting. Finally we decide to use HL62P/LCBYAG solid laser cutting system of Germany Trumpf Company.3. Through the analysis of fracture splitting groove process, make a whole design of the CNC system of laser cutting machine, determine the Z axis, A axis and X axis of the machine as CNC axis. It is confirmed that the SIEMENS 802D system is selected as the control system, by considering machine performance and operation stability requirement,4. Mechanical system is an important component part of laser cutting machine, optimal design of each structure can directly influence the mechanical performance of the system and the quality of connecting rod. Through calculating, make a reasonable selection of the mechanical system, such as servo electromotor, ball screw assembly, slideway assembly, racks and so on, and also determine the numerical table and the cylinder models.5. Because of UG has a strong three-dimensional modeling, this paper establish 3D models of the laser cutting machine parts by UG, and these parts are virtual assembled and interference analysis, optimize its structure design. Through ADAMS solver, kinematics simulation is carried out by UG, make a foundation for the import of ADAMS model.6. Laser Cutting Machine 3D model is imported into ADAMS, through imposing constraint, driving conditions, established the virtual prototype of laser Cutting Machine. The movement process of laser cutting machine is kinematics simulated, and exportion simulation curves are analyzed.In summary, according to process of the fracture splitting groove of connecting rod, the paper has improved the mechanical system of the laser cutting machine, made a overall planning of the laser system and CNC system .The virtual prototype machine is built, and the movement is simulated. This study can further improve the quality and efficiency of splitting groove, and has an important significance on the fracture splitting process.
