Silicate drilling fluids system is widely regarded as a most prospective kind of water base drilling fluids system. The geology circumstance of LiaoHe oil field is very complicate,and hole instability always exists,but currently the application of silicate drilling fluids system in LiaoHe oil-field is still blank. So studies on the silicate drilling fluids system combined the actual circumstance of LiaoHe oil field are very significant for avoiding or reducing complicate circumstance in deep wells and increasing the drilling speed and quality.This lesson is a LiaoHe oil field's engineering technique research, and this paper combines the deep well stability problem of LiaoHe oil field to research the silicate drilling fluids system. Analyzed some factors'influence on the performance of silicate drilling fluids system, such as the silicate modulus,amount,pH value and treating chemical types,temperature and so on. Based on the research, we developed a formula of silicate drilling fluids system and discussed the action mechanism of the silicate drilling fluids system.The study results show that,silicate modulus should be between 2.8-3.0,the amount should be 5% or so.Silicate drilling fluids system have strong depression function with various mechanisms, the rheological and filtration property of silicate drilling fluids system can satisfy the demand of drilling and it will have a broad application foreground.
