The steam stimulation as the one of major technique to develop the thickened oil reservoir, just injected high temperature/high pressure saturated steam to the production well using the temperature sensibility of oil, and takes advantage of the central and upper layers which the steam overriding displace shows bad water drive result, carrying out relatively complemented with water drive at vertical sweep to make sure that the quantity of heat exchanges the hot in the layers in the shape of transmission and convection primarily so that to heat the layers, thin out the crude, perfect flow capacity, improve the flushing efficiency and modify the oil development effect. This paper aiming high oil viscosity, low rate of yield and recovery ratio, bad development effect at the current situation in the north belt of transition of SaErtu DaQing oilfield, the steam stimulation test was injected at the north transition zone to try to find out the new way which could improve the development effect at the zone of transition. This paper studyed and analysed the geologic feature, characteristic of reservior, flow properties and distribution of remaining oil about the north trasition zone, designing and completing the steam stimulation technical parameters, such as pressure of steam, cyclic steam injection volume, velocity of steam, quality of steam, braise well time. The test had a good result that the oil viscosity had reduced substantially after the steam injected and the displacement efficiency had improved obviously, average daily addition oil of single-well was 6.4t, water content had descended percentage of 7.4, period of validity of steam stimulation had increased over 5 monthes, which explored technological approaches to increase production of the high viscosity thin oil reservoir.
