500m rail transit equipment is a very important for Shahe welded rail basement, which built the first productive line welded 100m rail into 500m, there is no successful experience around world. Compared with traditional engineering cranes, multi-pivots and lift-from-bottom solution was adopted.The nature statement of 500m rail was analyzed in details, multi-pivots solution was emerged. This solution is very helpful for improving the equipment's automation level.Compared with engineering cranes and transit equipment in metallurgical industry, lift-from-bottom design which takes the rail as positioning target was suggested. It has many merits, such as simple construction, higher automation level, less land occupation and low cost of maintenance and repairing.Considering the reliability and efficiency of transit, automation level and process safety, the transit process is divided into five section: searching, first-lift, lift, transit, go-back. The rail deflection is used to remedy other engineering error, so reliability of equipment get improved, unbeneficial effects from civil work and other device is overcame. Meanwhile, by this solution, large-scale engineering reconstruction is avoided, large funds was saved.Presently Chinese high-speed rail get a very fast development, requirements for rail are more and more strict. The successful development of 500m rail transit equipment accelerates the reconstruction of Shahe weld rail basement, it also provides the experience of reference to other basements.
