Hexahydrophthalic anhydride is indispensable raw materials of making polyester high-grade coating, with multi-hexahydrophthalic anhydride instead of aromatic amino acid production alkyd, polyester paints, polyurethane paint, powder coating, can significantly improve the mapping degree of fresh paint, gloss. It is also the materials on production of plasticizers, pesticides and other raw materials. The supported metal catalysts that because of theirs low cost, simple preparation, catalytic properties of many advantages in catalysis have a very broad application prospects. This thesis used Ni/Al2O3, Ni/SiO2, Ni-Cu/SiO2 as catalysts to hydrogenate tetrahydrophthalic anhydride to hexahydrophthalic anhydride.On this basis, the established the kinetics equation of hydrogenation of tetrahydrophthalic anhydride on hexahydrophthalic anhydride hydrogenation, the kinetic equation is validated. Using equal volume impregnation to make Ni/Al2O3, Ni/SiO2, Ni-Cu/SiO2 three kinds of catalysts, and inspect the catalysts on the catalytic properties of tetrahydrophthalic anhydride hydrogenation. Investigation on the catalytic performance, mainly through their conversion rate of tetrahydrophthalic anhydride hydrogenation. With comprehensive consideration, the optimum catalyst is Ni/SiO2. So choice Ni/SiO2 as catalysts for hydrogenation kinetics of tetrahydrophthalic anhydride. Experiment also investigated the performance of the hydrogenation catalyst of several factors affecting the results. Showing that the three experimental factors affecting is the temperature, pressure and liquid space-time.Ni/SiO2 catalyst is used to the hydrogenation kinetics of tetrahydrophthalic anhydride, obtaining the tetrahydrophthalic anhydride concentration versus on time curve on the reaction process, and determined the hexahydrophthalic anhydride hydrogenation reaction order and rate constant and other parameters. The results are given, tetrahydrophthalic anhydride conversion reaction order is 1, the hydrogen is 0.5. On this basis, established the hydrogenation kinetic equation of tetrahydrophthalic anhydride on hexahydrophthalic anhydride, and the kinetic equation is validated.
