In this thesis, the anodic powder of Ce0.8Sm0.2O2-δ (SDC) and several series of cathodal powders (Sm1-xCexCoO3+δ, La1-xCexCoO3+δ, Sm1.2Sr0.8Co1-xNixO4+δ, La1.2Sr0.8Co1-xNixO4+δ) were synthesized by citric acid sol-gel method. The several series of powder were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA).Using the several series of cathodal powder materials with carbon paper-supported as the cathode, the Nafion membrane as the electrolyte, nickel-doped SDC(Ni-SDC) with carbon paper-supported as the anode and they were pressed to the membrane electrode assembly(MEA) by hot-pressing. Ammonia was synthesized from hydrogen and nitrogen at atmospheric pressure and low temperature(25~100℃) using the MEA. The results demonstrated that: first, temperature and voltage effected the ammonia production for the several series of cathode powder materials and the several series of cathode powder materials has the opimal temperature and voltage in electrosynthesize ammonia. Second, all samples effected the ammonia production and they can enhance the production. In this thesis, we also try to use new materials to replace the hydrogen which is the H2O were electrolyzed. Using the Nafion membrane as the electrolyte, the cathodal powder materials with carbon paper-supported as the cathode and they were pressed to the membrane electrode assembly(MEA) by hot-pressing. Ammonia was synthesized at atmospheric pressure and room temperature using the MEA. The results showed that: all samples can produce the ammonia and they has the optimum voltage in electrosynthesize ammonia.
