Research On Neutral Style Of Women's Wear And Its Causes

The development of human clothing is influenced by political, economic, cultural and other factors and constraints. In the long history of the patriarchal society, the traditional ideas and physiological differences between men and women drew a clear line between men's and women's clothing styles. Men's clothing stresses on "masculinity", while women's "femininity". Not until the early 20th century, did neutral women's clothing emerge in the clip-gap of social development. Thereafter it goes all the way until today it settles down and become one of the mainstreams of fashion.Based on the exploration of emergence and development of neutral women's clothing and its historical background, the paper analyzes people's cognitive and attitude of clothing and appearance in different period. Particularly nowadays, when neutral women's clothing becomes more and more popular, research on the underlying causes of emergence and development of neutral women's clothing seems especially necessary. As a special product of the times, neutral women's emergence and development has a broad social base, and they are closely related with the prevailing political, economic, and cultural environment. It argues the emergence and development of neutral women's clothing are influenced greatly by the historical events, industry development, lifestyle, designer, women's awareness, women's movement and other factors as well. Meanwhile, as a materialized manifestation of the social spirit, it also shows women's aesthetic awareness and social ideals in different periods of time.Neutral women's clothing has experienced a hundred years'development, and formed a variety of styles. It is now leading the future fashion development and trend. Therefore, this paper interprets and explores the styles and design of neutral women's clothing, and argues on the research of neutral women's clothing, providing a theory for the future development and popularity of neutral women's clothing.
