The duplex stainless steel (DSS)withαandγtwo-phase structure,therefore it has both the performance of austenitic stainless steel and ferritic stainless steel.Duplex stainless steel has been recognized as the mainstream of kinds of stainless steel in the 21st century.The high temperature deformation plane and high temperature tensile test of hot-rolling 2205 duplex stainless steel (DSS)are investigated by the use of thermo-mechanical simulator.It is conducted 2205 duplex stainless steel during high temperature deformation,mechanism and deformation induced phase transition by optical microscope(OM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD) and energy spectrum (EDS)experimental equipment,and the following basic conclusions:(1)In the high temperature compression test,under the conditions of that the train rates were 0.1s-1 and 2s-1 and the range of deformation temperature was from 900℃to 1200℃,the peak deformation resistance of the sample decreased with deformation temperature and increased with strain rate.In the different deformation temperature, the difference could reach 30-80Mpa,which showed that the test material was a kind of strain rate sensitive material.When the deformation temperature was 1000℃,the stress tended to be stable and it was found a stable plastic deformation zone.(2)With the improvement of deformation temperature,the ferrite grain in the sample refined significantly. It showed that ferrite dynamic recovery and recrystallization process was more fully and to cause the ferrite grain to more small. When the deformation temperature was between 1000℃and 1200℃,ferrite completely dynamic recovered and recrystallization softened and some austenite in the steel softened through twinning deformation.(3)Under the conditions of that the train rates were 0.1s-1 and 2s-1 and the range of deformation temperature was from 900℃to 1200℃,the organizations of the austenite 2205 duplex stainless steel were a phase and y phase, in which there was no new phase.Austenite phase of sample decreased with deformation temperature and increased with strain rate.(4) Occurred in the hot deformation reversibleγ→δphase transition,in the deformation of 25%,50% condition,with the deformation increases,this phase shift change increased.At the temperature of 1000℃,1050℃,1100℃,in the deformation of 75% condition,the inverse phase transition deformation temperature,deformation temperature is lower, the more change in volume large.(5)In the high temperature tensile test,compared with the 2205 duplex stainless steel and 304 stainless steel,the deformation resistance and thermoplastic of 2205 duplex stainless steel were lower, the performance of thermal processing was poor.
