From the angle of traditional industrial wastewater treatment, the treating characteristics of three kinds of printing and dyeing wastewater with high concentration were explored first. The method of carrying out the experiment of cultivating active sludge by aeration was used to observe their biochemical treatment abilities. And the treating effects of commonly used methods, such as oxidation, adsorption, flocculation on them were determined. Fenton reaction was suitable to the acidic water and flocculation adsorption to neutral and sodium thiosulfate wastewater.Because of the particularity of the acid waste, its core process of Fenton reaction was discussed separately. The high prices of ferrous salts and hydrogen peroxide have limited the universality of application of traditional Fenton reaction in treating printing and dyeing wastewater. From the perspective of engineering application and based on Fenton reaction which was integrated with other wastewater treatment methods, how to achieve the same effect as the performance cost shrank as possible was studied. Results showed that the chroma was under 10 times, CODCr was under 300mg/L with removal rate over 98%, pH value 7 and all of these indicators achieved the emission standards after the comprehensive application and optimized combination of iron and carbon micro-electrolytic route, Fenton reaction and neutralization adsorption.At last, in accordance with the characteristics of high concentration, high chromaticity, complicated composition and biodegradable difficulties of these three kinds of printing and dyeing wastewater and after the comparison and combination of present methods of treating dyeing wastewater, this research applied Fenton, coal cinder adsorption and other ways on to treat the 3 kinds wastewater with different characteristics. Finally, the chromaticity was under 50 times, organic matters under 500mg/L, turbidity under 100 NTU, pH 7 and the water could be recycled and utilized. After the final treating method was concluded, the flow charts of treating three kinds of wastewater separately and jointly have been map out.In addition, some problems occurred in the process of wastewater treatment experiment such as the recycle of by-products, waste recycling and utilization of reaction heat were discussed moderately.After all, based on the ideas of environmental protection and energy saving, a great extent of treatment and recycling possibilities of printing and dyeing wastewater were researched in limited conditions. Some of the results could be recommended.
