Beijing is a severe water shortage city, per capita share of water less than 300m3,1/8 of the national per capita value,1/30 of the world average value. With the development of urbanization and the improvement of living standards, water supply and demand have become increasingly drmatically. In recent years, available water resources have declined every year, but there is still a huge amount of stormwater without effecient utilization. Urbanization also increses the storm peak, and the burden of flood control. In order to alleviate water shortages in Beijing and urban flood control design of the increasing traffic problems, it is of important practical significance to attention to the use of rainwater. From August 2009 to April 2010, on the campus of Beijing Jiaotong University, sampling monitoning and analyzing activities were carried out on rainfall, roof runoff, Darning Lake and other tests. In accordance with GB3838-2002,more than 20 parameters were determined, experimental results indicate that for the runoff water from the different roof of precipitation, water quality changed significantly at a certain time in the duration of precipitation, the water pollution before is far worse than the water pollution after. The main pollutants of the asphalt roofing are organic pollutants and suspended solids, while the main pollutants of the roof tiles are solid suspended matter. In the rainfall runoff process, the changes in pollution concentration in rainfall runoff process fluctuated, but the general trend of changes is that pollutant concentration is high in the initial rainfall, with rainfall duration of the extension, the pollutant concentration decreased gradually.
