Semi-aerobic landfill technology is a popular research field of waste disposal for the simple structure and faster degradation. Leachate recirculation technology for semi-aerobic landfill, can improve the water quality of leachate,speed up the settlement, improve gas production rate of landfill gas and accelerate the degradation of organic components of waste.Currently, landfill gas has been extensively studied, mainly on the factors that affect landfill gas production, gas production and gas production rate and so on. The main research topics are distribution rule of landfill gas and the main factors to affect landfill gas productionBased on the experimental conditions and researching purposes, the airway distance, temperature and pH of recirculated leachate were selected to research. The results showed that:1) CH4 and CO2 concentrations of Landfill gas have the following characteristics: lower> Upper layer., CH4 concentration maintained stable at 20% to 30% in the lower, while CH4 concentration was less than 5% in the upper layer. In the same horizontal plane, the distance from airway was bigger, the concentration of CH4 was higher. It is easy to say airway distance is the main factor of affecting landfill gas. but with increasing airway distance, the influention is smaller.2) when the pH value reached 6.4 at 15th week, the CO2 concentration significantly increased,, and,when the pH value reached 7.1 in the 17th week, the CH4 concentration significantly increased, it can be found pH value is the main factors to affect landfill gas production. When pH value is greater than 6.4,the rate of CO2 production significantly increased and When pH value is greater than 7.1,the rate of CH4 production significantly increased.3) Temperature also affected landfill gas production. Differences in the regional distribution of landfill gas were caused by the temperature. The experiment showed that Suitable temperature of bacteria was at.30-40℃.Meanwhile, the author believes that semi-aerobic landfill helps to reduce the CH4 emission which can result in the greenhouse effect. Therefore, Application of the semi-aerobic landfill technology is positive to reduce CH4 emissions and control the greenhouse effect.
