The steady of lifting system is the key factor for single crystal to enhance the equipment performance. Swing phenomenon exists during the run of single crystal furnace supplied by domestic factory. Factory should make systematic research on the phenomenon. Comprehensive grasp of the swing phenomenon and the accurate measurement have important directive to equipment design,manufacture and assembly.In this paper, detection scheme is researched based on the practical condition of lifting system. And a vision detection scheme was formed to detect the swing parameter. Firstly, a new approach is introduced for camera calibration with near-parallel calibration board, and with the approach, accurate positions of the moving object are gained. To improve the quality of the image sequence, the Gaussian filter,median filter,local contrast enhancement and Gray level transform algorithm are proposed in pre-processing stage. In order to extract the object precisely, this paper present a moving object segmentation algorithm based on spatio-temporal information. Centroid is utilized to express the moving target position. The trajectory curves are finished with moving object segmentation algorithm. Experiment device and scheme are designed and developed based on the computer vision. Sequence image of pendulum and conical pendulum are gained by the calibrated camera in laboratory. The software application system is developed with Visual C++ 6.0. After preliminary experiments, the method that we adopt has reached better result. Functions of the algorithms proved to be reliable and robust.
