In this paper, polyacrylamide hydrogels with macropore strcture have been prepared by means of crosslinking polymerized method, which have good properties and can adsorb copper ion selectively. Copolymer hydrogels which are sensitive to Pb2+ have been prepared by the same method. On different conditions, lead sulfate inorganic crystrals with various morphologies were prepared using the copolymer hydrogels as templates. The properties and formation mechanism of lead sulfate have also been investigated. The main contents are summarized as follows:1. Polyacrylamide hydrogels with macropore strcture were synthesized using polyacrylamide as the monomer, polyethyleneglycol-6000 as the poring-agent, biacrylicamide as the crosslinker by means of crosslinking polymerized method. The products were characterized; pH sensitivity, temperature sensitivity, swelling ration and selective adsorption ability of metal ions have been studied. Results show that polyethyleneglycol-6000 only act as the poring-agent, not participate in polymerization and crosslinker can affect morphology of hydrogels; they have environmen-sensitivity and can adsorb copper ion selectively.2. Copolymer hydrogels were synthesized using acrylonitrile, acrylamide, acrylicacid as monomers by the above method(fixed ratio of monomer to change the amount of acrylonitrile monomer), which are sensitive to Pb2+. They were characterized and their swelling kintics in deion water, swelling behavior in different solvents were studied. Meanwhile, we have been a research on adsorption capacility to Pb2+ and found the best adsorption condition. Results show that hydrogel is colorless transparent when content of AN is 23%and becomes milkiness opaque when content of AN is 36%.The best adsorption conditions were T=38℃, pH=5, adsorption of 1.578mg/g. Copolymer hydrogels can be reused and will supply a new method for wastewater treatment.3. Copolymer hydrogel was as a template to control lead sulfate crystals and prod ucts were characterized. Results show that the growth of lead sulfate much effected by pH, concentration, temperature of solution and time. Lead sulfate crystals have optical properties, if it can be designed in structure, it will be widely used in scintillation materials.
