Some special functions of the crystal have been found only on some unique plane or crystal orientation. So the method about how to induce these sorts of crystal materials to grow only by the special orientation or plane which can show their applicable functions of the future production in the society have been proposed as a focus that worthy of being worked on more deeply.Molecule films were adopted extensively to be template to induce the oriented growth of the crystal; many relevant researches of this method have been reported. Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) technology was considered to be an excellent method to prepare such templates that could be used to induce the oriented growth of the crystal. by various setting the different conditions in the process of films preparation. different kinds of films could be prepared for standby. What's more, LB Films template shows much preponderance on inducing oriented growth of the crystal attribute to many advantages, such as, the stable structure of the films and convenient operation to control the films device. These virtues can significantly promote the exploration and application of functional crystal materials.In this paper, Stearic Acid(SA) films was prepared as the template that was used to research the relations between surface pressure and its ability to induce the oriented growth of NaCl crystal from the condition of solution. The results show that the SA films can induce the oriented growth of NaCl crystal according to (200) plane effectively when it is prepared at the surface pressure of 30 mN/m. but same result was not observed when the films was at the surface pressure of 10 mN/m. this indicate that the ability of SA LB films to induce oriented growth of NaCl crystal have much relations to its surface pressure.In addition, this paper also include the research of the influence of the rate of quenching to the ability of SA films to induce oriented growth of NaCl crystal, results showed that low temperature (quenching at fast rate) 5℃was more benefit to induce the oriented growth of NaCl crystal on the SA films than it was quenched at the temperature (low quenching rate) of 20℃.This research can provide much useful and novel information about the oriented growth of crystal on the aspect of quenching the solution and can be helpful when explore and apply the functional crystal materials in the future. | Keywords/Search Tags: | LB films, oriented growth of crystal, effect of induce, rate of quenching | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
