Heavy oil is very difficult to be produced by conventional technology because of its high viscosity and poor flow ability. From the beginning of viscous crude development in 1950's, many forms of development means mainly based on thermal dynamics have been set up. And the steam stimulation covers most developing conditions. However, after a long time of development, the yield in the block declines rapidly and economic efficiency obviously becomes poor, so it is necessary to work on improving exploitation effects of heavy oil reservoir. Based on steam stimulation oil recovery mechanism, through analyzing the developing status, characteristics and principles of three typical heavy oil reservoirs of Jin 45 Block in Liaohe Oilfield, combining with sedimentary facies theory, numerical reservoir simulation theory, log interpretation and dynamic monitoring, this dissertation researches the distribution law of remaining oil, gives a systemic method improving exploitation effects, puts forward a theory forecasting oil-recovery, which can help to exploit the steam stimulation reservoirs.
