The air drilling technology not only can improve the penetration rate obviously, prolong bit footage, reduce the bit used ,but also can shorten drilling cycle. The air drilling technology is the ideal technique that can speed up the exploration and development of the Daqing Oilfield; however, equipment package and technical skill of air drilling technology are much more different from conventional drilling. The air drilling well deviation is more difficult to control. The wellbore stability is worse. It is tend to bring down-hole troubles. Gas injection parameter also needs further optimization. For taking the advantage of air /nitrogen gas drilling to increasing the speed of drilling, there is a research on the technology of air /nitrogen gas drilling in Daqing Oilfield.In Daqing oilfield the air/nitrogen gas drilling technology, which contains software of gas drilling and monitoring technology of drilling process, has been used in the field of gas drilling technology. Then the people achieved preliminary results. By the establishment of circulation in the gas pressure, ability to carry debris, carrying water capacity calculation model, they have developed a series of corresponding software. Using the parameters to air/nitrogen gas drilling engineering, parameters to monitor gas injection and air/nitrogen gas drilling underground explosion monitoring method, they develop a series of the corresponding software. By monitoring the humidity, project parameters and the situation of drilling cuttings, they can determine the formation water conditions, then form a judging method of formation water, by which they can calculation the preliminary formation water according to log data. On this basis they have developed a gas drilling BHA anti-deflection calculation models and software and successfully used the software in Xushen No. 28 deep gas well test, so on in other 11 wells in the field.
