The investigation is funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (No.50573060).Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) is a typical kind of liquid composites molding technics. The fabric is the impact of resin penetration in which the flow of important parameters in the process of the resin acts to infiltrate a direct impact on the quality of products, research fibrous performs penetration testing technology, as well as their accurate determination, the actual production process technology Optimization and product quality control, as well as further study of numerical simulation are of great significance.This article focuses on planar unidirectional permeability testing technology of glass fibrous performs, data-processing methods, and constitute of a form of fabric, porosity, and other factors on penetration.In the investigation, an experiment installation was designed for the study of planar unidirectional permeability, developed two experimental programs. With this installation, the injection under the constant pressure or at constant flow rate can come true, and the pressure of different position can be got in the experiment.Then use the installation to determine the planar unidirectional permeability of fibrous performs according to the Concurrent Permeability Measurement Procedure (CPMP). The traditional method and the sub-difference method were compared to deal with the data when the injection at constant flow rate, and the traditional method and the step-by-step method were compared to deal with the data when the injection under the constant pressure. Through a variety of data-processing methods of penetration and through the value of comparative analysis, it comes to the sub-difference and step-by-step method for the permeability test results to deal with a more rational and effective.Finally, analyzed the relationship between the permeability and the configuration, the volume content of fibrous performs. Research shows that the configuration of fibrous performs in the form of greater penetration of the impact of the same fabric as the penetration rate in the form of fiber volume and higher content of the non-linear reduction, a lower rate with the volume of content increased gradually slow down. This paper also compared planar unidirectional permeability of fibrous performs when the injection under the constant pressure or at constant flow rate, and analyzed influence of the capillary action and edge effect to the measurement of the permeability and the quality of products.
