However, Fe3Si based intermetallic compounds have many excellent properties, such as,excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and wear resistance, etc. Alloy elements is the important factor at the performance of DO3-type Fe3Si intermetallics.It has important significance to the application of Fe3Si alloy that research on the effect of alloy element for the performance of Fe3Si alloy.Two kinds of Fe3Si base alloy Cu,Al and Ni,Cr composite alloying Fe3Si alloy and ternary alloy of Fe-Si-X(X=B,Mo,Ni,Ti)were prepared by using vacuum arc melting.Make characterization for materials by XRD,SEM and EDS,and on the compressive strength and hardness of mechanical.Determin the tafel curves of the two kinds of Fe3Si basic alloy.It is the big advantage of structural materials that the good oxidation resistance of Fe3Si alloy. Therefore the high temperature oxidation behavior of Fe3Si based intermetallics were studied at 800℃,900℃for 120h with the mode of circle oxidation in present work in the paper.The result showed that,alloying elements Fe3Si alloy reduces the micro hardness. But the compressive strength is improved.Fe-Si-B alloy and the Fe3Si-15%(Cu,Al) alloy has good mechanical performance.On high temperature oxidation, alloying Fe3Si alloy shows superior high temperature oxidation resistance by Fe3Si. Experiments show that in Cu,Al composite alloying Fe3Si alloy alloy, Oxidation film growth relys on diffusion of Cu and Fe.Along with the increase of the content of Cu,Al, oxidation resistance of alloy task back.In addition, for Fe3Si-M alloy system, alloying element promote the oxide film growed up.At the The electrochemical corrosion, alloying elements have different effect. The corrosion resistance of the Fe-Si-Ti alloy and the Fe3Si-10~15%(Cu,Al) alloy is good.
