Taking Pro/E as the platform of CAD modeling and further development to realize the 3D model of casting and technology, and its strong parametric design function is used to establish standardization and parameterization models of riser, chill and running channel.Taking MAGMAsoft as its CAE platform, the special cast iron module is used to simulate the mold filling process and solidification process and provide evidence for technology design.The article uses Delphi as system development tool to develop the form of system and various function modules,establish the casting technology database of nodular cast iron with the development package of BDE datebase link. The pouring and feeding system parameter was provided by Ductile iron casting foundry process CAD/CAE system,The 3D model and criterion and process validate was provided by casting CAD/CAE.For nodular iron castings of different grades and different shape,the article determines and contraposes defects,uses ductile iron casting foundry process CAD/CAE system for designing process, at last casting CAE technology is used to check process and forecast structure properties and mechanical properties of casting, and ideal casting technology and excellent castings are accepted.Combining ductile iron casting foundry process CAD/CAE system and casting CAD/CAE integration design method,it can serve the needs of general nodular cast iron technology design.CAD/CAE technology and casting technology CAD/CAE aided design system are applied to foundry industry to research foundry production precisely, rapidly and low cost. As this technology is most important element in changing the blindness of casting process scheme working-out, improving the casting quality and the casting productivity and driving development of casting technology.
