Risk Analysis And Eco-economic Losses Evaluation Of Spartina Alterniflora In Fujian Province

Spartina alterniflora is an invasive alien species which causes serious harm. Due to human introduction, it can spread to Fujian coastal areas. Then because of its strong reproductive ability and adaptive capacity, it doesn't only occupy a lot of good breeding courtyard and seedling courtyard and causes great economic losses in the coastal aquaculture, but also damages resources and affects biodiversity of tidal flat. This paper studies systematically the harm of Spartina alterniflora in Fujian. It analyses the ecological and economic impact in Fujian caused by Spartina alterniflora,from assessment of invasive risk, estimation of economic losses to and intrusion causes, and etc. According to the actual situation of Fujian, it puts forward the disaster prevention and disaster reduction measures to deal with invasion of Spartina alterniflora. The results are as follows:Depending on the hazard characteristics,the paper collects systematically the impact factor data information of the invasion of Spartina alterniflora in Fujian. Then I construct the risk assessment indicator system about the invasion of Spartina alterniflora in Fujian and the risk assessment of weed-rization of Spartina alterniflora. The results show that the risk value is R=2.06and75.5.So they both indicate that the plant belongs to a highly dangerous invasive species.The study classifies systematically the ecological and economic losses caused by Spartina alterniflora in Fujian.It definites the economic meanings of Spartina alterniflora and establishes the index system of economic loss evaluation for Spartina alterniflora.Then it proposes the evaluation methods of economic loss for Spartina alterniflora and constructs the evaluation models for index. The total loss affected by Spartina alterniflora is estiamated 15.89 billion yuan in Fujian including economic losses and ecological losses with base year 2006,in which, the direct economic losses is 8.13 billion yuan,and the indirect economic losses is 7.76 billion yuan.In the region of Ningde,suffered the most gravely from the invasive of species Spartina alterniflora, invasive species Spartina alterniflora brought about the economic losses as high as 7.57 million yuan to coastal aquaculture, which takes up 12.65% of the Gross Output Value of Fishery within all region throughout this year.The study is on the basis of the evaluation of economic loss of Fujian caused by Spartina alterniflora and discusses the reasons of Spartina alterniflora invasion and caused disaster in Fujian including the following six aspects:biological characteristics, environment characteristics, intentional introduction, natural or anthropogenic mass diffusion, lack of natural control mechanism and problems of management.The paper puts forward the disaster prevention and reduction measures in accordance with the occurrence of Spartina alterniflora,including three aspects: enhancing the management of invasive alien species, building on the monitoring and warning system and strengthening the control of Spartina alterniflora.
