Grignard reagent is one of the most important organometallic reagents, it plays a very important role in organic synthesis and organometallic chemistry.The nucleophilic addition of a Grignard reagent or organolithium compound to the carbonyl group is very broad applied reaction. Reactions ofα,β-Unsaturated Ketones with Grignard Reagents or organolithium alone in different conditions maybe obtain 1,2 or 1,4 addition product adducts. The reaction with cerium chloride afforded the high yield and enhanced the 1,2-selectivity.There is few people studies for ferrocenylα,β-Unsaturated Ketones with Grignard Reagents,this article will discuss the promotion of cerium with several Grignard reagents and ferrocenylα,β-Unsaturated Ketones occur addition reaction.This thesis aims to Study two kinds ofα,β-Unsaturated ketones (FcCOCH=CHPh, FcCOCH=CH-C4H4O) react with some organometallic reagents(CH3MgI, CH3CH2MgBr, CH3(CH2)3MgBr, PhMgBr) in the presence of anhydrous cerium(Ⅲ) chloride or not. The influence of different amounts of organic halides and the amount of cerium(Ⅲ) toward the yield was also discussed. All products were characterized by elemental analysis, IR,1H NMR spectra.In conclusion, The use of anhydrous CeCl3 enhanced the yields of the addition products of different organometallics toα,β-Unsaturated ketones and enhanced the 1,2-selectivity.The addition of anhydrous cerium make ferrocenylα,β-Unsaturated ketones mainly occurs 1,2-addition reaction,and without added anhydrous cerium the reaction occurs mainly 1,4-addition reaction.
