The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) are sharply increasing with the extensive use of electronic products and the rapid replacement of product caused by technological innovation. The annual discarding quantity is more than 5 million tons and large quantities of WEEE flows to the nation from foreign countries. The production of printed circuit boards (PCB) is the basis of the electronic industry as it is the essential part of all most electrical and electronic equipments (EEE). The amount of waste PCBs is rising as the increase of WEEE. As the purity of precious metals in it is about more than 10 or even 100 times of rich-content mineral, Waste PCBs has a considerable economic value. At the same time, its toxic and harmful substances will make a serious threat to the nature environment and human health if there are not appropriate methods for its treatment. However, the efficiency of present recycle technology is low, which leads to some serious second-pollutions for the natural environment. Therefore, it is urgent to develop a scientific, efficient, and environmentally friendly recycling technology. High-voltage electrostatic separation is an excellent waste PCB recycling technology for its high efficiency, low energy consumption and environmental-friendly.Based on the creating of high-voltage electrostatic separator and optimizing the separation process, this paper provides a systemic study on online process monitoring and control, presents the key problems, designs the solution, and promotes the technology and theoretical support for recycling waste PCB. On the basis of study the theory of scraping, a set of online monitoring system is manufactured. In terms of hardware, appropriate hardware forms a complete platform after comparison. In terms of software, writing program in LabVIEW environment plays well for the monitoring of separation process. This program meets the requirements of online monitoring running equipments, by analyzing and calculating signal in real-time as well as drawing control chart. When system stability is broken, it can detect it observantly and give an instant alarm automatically, which avoids more unstable products in the subsequent hours. It can also record historical data for later research and data mining.The study established a control system procedure after analyzing the PLC system for high-voltage electrostatic separator. This paper develops a control program through GX Developer; the simulating result shows that it works in right logic and procedure automatically, providing a tursty controling and operating system for the industrial application.Aim at high-voltage electrostatic separator, the study analyses Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and chooses BP ANN to establish model via MATLAB and LabVIEW. Core program is written via MATLAB while man-machine interface is designed by LabVIEW. It's found that this model can simulate manufacturing process, which promotes the technology and theoretical support for intelligence controller design.
