In the dissertation, fluorescence spectroscopy, absorption spectroscopy and electrochemistry properties of oligothiophene and ites derivatives(3T,4T,5T,6T,7T and 3P)and fullerene(C60,C70,C84)was studied in o-dichlorobenzene. Absorption spectroscopy was used for direct absorption and side-absorption correction of the fluorescence spectroscopy. Their redox potential was uesd for Weller equation calculations. Fluorescence quenching of oligothiophene and fullerenes mixtures in solution by electron transfer was studied by fluorescence spectroscopy too.The results show that the efficiency of the electron transfer depends on chain length of oligothiophene and on the substituent. It was also found that as the electron affinity of fullerenes increases, the efficiency of the electron transfer increases too. The results are in good agreement with Weller equation. There was some difference between the results of fluorescence quenching studies and the theoretical results of Weller equation. Our analysis and interpretation was given in the dissertation.
