H2S is an acid gas with great toxicity. It causes environmental pollution and damage to human beings. Many industrial processes produce H2S and a lot of fabrication equipments'corrosion is caused by H2S. Most crude oil that produced in our country is low-sulphur crude oil. In the past, the quantity of crude oil extracted at home is enough for peoples'life and economic development. But in the recent years, with the remarkable improvement growth of peoples'life and the great development of national economy, the quantity of oil demanded become larger and larger. The oil import is growing every year and a large part of it is sour crude oil with H2S. In view of the above, the demand of the oil desulfurization technology is becoming urgent. But for the viscous oil, because of its high density and high viscosity properties, it is much harder to remove the H2S in it. Until now, there haven't been any mature H2S removing experiences at home. So the study on the desulfurization methods is extremely needed.The atmospheric boiling point of H2S is between the point of ethane and propane. In the process of gas-liquid separation of oil, H2S can be removed from the oil along with the removing of ethane and propane. Study the H2S removing method according to the equilibrium theory based on the above principle.Slect reasonable calculating models that is suitable for the H2S removing methods by studying the principle of equations of state and activity coefficient models and according to the experimental data in the field of production. Then simulates the multistage separation method, vacuum flash evaporation method, distillation method and gas stripping method. every influence factor for each metod is analyzed and detailed comparative analysis is done. The suitable range of each method is obtained. The study results shows that the effects of the gas stripping method is the best of all and it is suitable for heavy oil with big amounts of H2S. This paper proposed a tow-stage gas stripping method for the first time to the Tahe heavy oil. Optimize the operation parameters according to the production data and analyze the applying effects. The results show that the two-stage gas stripping method is high efficiency and a large quantity of fee can be saved. The proposing of two-stage gas stripping method provides the H2S removing of heavy oil with a new way and can advance the development of heavy oil exploitation.
