China consumes about 200 million ton anti-wear materials each year in metallurgy, building industry, power industry, machinery industry, agricultural machinery, defense industry, aviation, aerospace and other fields, especially applied in the metallurgical and mining industry on large-caliber self-grinder or half-grinder, which need a large number of high-performance anti-wear materials. There are so many domestic anti-wear materials, but the materials applied in large-caliber self-grinder and half-grinder mill lining board can not meet the requirements, the linings board mainly imported, it is very important to solve the problem about high-performance, long life liner. In this paper, for the purpose of application of large-caliber and half-grinder from the mill liner material, based on previous studies of multi-micro-alloyed high-alloy wear resistance cast iron , detailed research and analysis was investigated on the role of vanadium, tungsten, titanium and other alloy elements in anti-wear materials, thus laid the foundation for the development of semi-liner.In this paper, SEM, EDS, XRD, OM and impact toughness tests, macro-and micro hardness testing, wear testing were used for research and analysis of the effects of vanadium, tungsten, titanium and other elements on the wear of cast iron-cast or heat-treatment; The experimental results shows that: the thinning effects of V is apparent for both cast and heat-treated, the vanadium carbides mainly are existing as VC, V2C, in the bound of experimental parameter, with the vanadium content increases, hardness of both as-cast and heat treatment state has been rising, when vanadium content reach to 1.8%, the maximum hardness and the wear ability can be obtained. Tungsten not only comes into being carbides, but also integrates into the cast matrix, tungsten carbide mainly are existing as CW3, WC1-x. With the tungsten content increases, the hardness values of anti-wear cast iron gradually increasing, while the heat treatment state, the tungsten content reaches 0.8%, the maximum hardness(61.5HRC) and the wear ability can be obtained. As the Ti content gradually increasing, the essential organize is gradually refined, hardness of both as-cast and heat treatment state has been rising, when the titanium content reaches to 1.6%, the maximum hardness and the wear ability can be obtained. While select the value of these three alloying elements, quenched with 1020℃for two hours, tempered with 250℃for four hours, the best abrasion wear resistance of cast iron can be obtained. The material has been applied in Benxi Iron & Steel Group, compared with the high manganese steel; the wear-resistance of new material has been greatly improved.
