The high temperature wave- transmission materials become one of the basis facts of the high-speed precision-guided weapon. The study of low cost and high properties polyphosphate matrix composites plays an important role in developing advanced airspace weapon and accelerating national defense modernization. And the development and research of this system will enrich and consummate the temperature wave-transmission materials of China. The study focus and development direction of the high-performance wave-transmission materials are stable dielectric properties, good mechanical property and environment resistant. This paper mainly relates to three aspects based on the application of the aluminum phosphate ceramic composite on missile-borneradome. First, it makes a study of the preparation technology of the whisker reinforced aluminum phosphate wave-transmission materials. Secondly, directing at the deficiency in performance of preparing new coagulant of inorganic wave-transmission materials with aluminum borate whisker reinforced aluminium phosphate, it studies the influence of SiO2 addition on the performence of novel wave-transmission. Last, the mix of aluminum borate whisker and magnesium borate whisker to reinforce the performance of aluminium phosphate wave-transmission materials is also discussed.The study of the preparation technology of the whisker reinforced aluminum phosphate wave-transmission materials is discussed. Due to the little fluidity of the mixture of aluminum phosphates and whisker materials, the raw materials can't dissolve in organic solvent well by sol-gel process, gel-casting process and so on. The preparation of whisker reinforced aluminum phosphate wave-transmission materials chooses isostatic pressing process as the complex shape of radome. It shows that the relative density, flexural strength, Vickers hardness and fracture toughness of composites increase firstly and then decrease with the whisker content and sintering temperature raise, which is made by isostatic pressing process and 30% aluminum borate whisker content. The composites have best synthesize performance When the sintering temperature got 1050℃. The effect of whisker reinforced aluminum phosphate wave-transmission materials with SiO2 addition changing with the firing temperature on density, porosity mechanical property and dielectric properties is studied. And the optimum content of SiO2 is confirmed. It shows that the relative density, flexural strength, Vickers hardness and fracture toughness of composites increase firstly and then decrease with the whisker content and sintering temperature raise, which 3%, 5%,10%,15%, 20% SiO2 content. The relative density, flexural strength, Vickers hardness and fracture toughness of 3%, 5% SiO2 content composites are higher than the composites without SiO2. The relative density, flexural strength, Vickers hardness and fracture toughness of 10%, 15% and 20%SiO2 content composites are lower than the composites without SiO2. But the dielectric constants have little changed. It indicates that the composites have best synthesize performance, which is 5% SiO2 content and the sintering temperature got 1050℃.The phenomenal is caused by SiO2, which increase the liquid content. When we got suitable SiO2 content composites, the liquid can help combine with whisker. But the more SiO2 content composites could cause more liquid content, that made whisker packed, and couldn't swell the composites.The farrago of aluminum borate whisker and magnesium borate whisker hybrid reinforced aluminum phosphates is studied. The composites which content 20%aluminum borate whisker and 10% magnesium borate whisker, 15%aluminum borate whisker with 15% magnesium borate whisker, have low ability to bear high temperature, and it show a great deal of aperture,some of them can't molding. The composites have best synthesize performance When the sintering temperature got 1050℃and 25% aluminum borate whisker with 5% magnesium borate whisker content. This is mostly because that hybrid fiber reinforced aluminum phosphates and interface reaction of magnesium borate whisker.
