Ligusticum Chuanxiong is one kind of famous traditional Chinese medicines of Sichuan Province (TMD), which has the function of expelling wind pain and curing other illness. Due to the serious environmental pollution increasingly at recent years and the unnormalizative plant through irrigation of polluted water, chemical fertilizers, and pesticides, the concentrations of the harmful heavy metals in TMD of Ligusticum Chuanxiong were exceed to the standard qualification for the poisonous elements accumulating in the plant of herbs. The export trade of drug Ligusticum Chuanxiong was limited. Therefore solve this problem is desperately needed. In the thesis, the rape (Brassica napus L.) were chosen as the target phytoremediation plant and were trained in lab with a series of potted incubation experiments. At the same time many other plants were cultivated at GAP base. Then, their abilities of phytoremediation and the interaction of the various elements including cadmium, arsenic and mercury were done. The main solution can be summarized as following:1. Appropriate level of mercury is helpful for the growth of rape.2. The distributive behavior of mercury in tissues of rape is corresponding to in order: roots > leaves > stems. The main devices of rape for mercury accumulation are roots.3. The concentrations of mercury in rape plant are positive correlation with the concentrations of mercury in soils. The concentrations of mercury in roots and stems increase with the increasing of concentrations of mercury in soils.4. The accumulation factor and translocation factor of rape are negatively correlated with the concentrations of mercury in soils.5. In the combined pollution: cadmium and arsenic have a certain role for rape to promote the accumulation of mercury and the concentration of cadmium and arsenic must be appropriate. 6. Studies the ability of accumulation mercury of four species plants by field cultivation, and was discovered that: The ability of accumulation mercury is responding to in order: soybean > rice> garlic> cabbage and the soybean has the potential of hyperaccumulator. The distributive behaviors of mercury in tissues of soybean, rice, garlic and cabbage are corresponding to in order: the underground parts > the ground parts. Then the effects of EDTA and citric acid added into soils for mercury accumulation of rape were further studied. it was discovered that EDTA and citric acid have a character for rape to promote mercury accumulation if the concentration of EDTA and citric acid added was in appropriate.
