Recently, for its superior of fast,low cost,convenient and suitable for all kinds of shapes ofproducts,jet ink was widely used spray the product label through the method ofelectronic control.In this paper, problems of bad ethanol resistance and low adhesion on PE,which werebeing existed in jet ink,were studied.First of all,by group contribution method,theδof four types of polyvinyl chloride acetates(VC/VAc) were estimated 20.88 J1/2·cm-3/2,21.04 J1/2·cm-3/2,21.08J1/2·cm-3/2,20.87J1/2·cm-3/2.Use VC/VAc as binder,MEK,Butyl acetate as solvent,a new jet ink with highquality was developed.The effects of the resin,solvent,dyes on thevolatility,alcohol-resistant,viscosity, stability of ink were studied.It is found that theincorporation of two Vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate reins improves the quality of the jet ink,Theoptimum ehanol resitance was 12.5s,whenω(VC/VAc)= 6.0%,ω(V1):ω(V2)=1:2,ω(MEK)=70.0%,ω(BAC)=13.0%,ω(paraffin)=0.5%,ω(SLB-34)=8.0%,ω(2-ehyl-hexyloxy propylamine) =1.0%.CPP, Terpene resin and Modified Rosin resin were adopted to prepare a kind of highlyadhesion jet ink used on PE. It was found Modified Rosin resin(C) had higher adhesion on PE,and CPP had better fast-drying property,which also can reduce the viscosity of jet ink. Thevolatility of solvent,viscosity,solubility and mixture of solvents were also investigated.Furthermore, adhesion could be strengthened by both adhesion promoter (6018) andplasticizer (DBP).It was found that MEK was the suitable solvent for both CPP anddye(SLB-34),and resin C could be well dissolved in TX. whenω(SLB-34)=8.0%,ω(CPP)+ω(C)=10.0%,ω(CPP):ω(C)=1:1,ω(MEK):ω(TX)=5:2,ω(DBP)=2.0% andω(6018)=1.5%, The adhesion could reach 0.28 N/mm2.Finally, The optimum adhesion 0.24 N/mm2 and ethanol resistance 6s were obtainedsimultaneously whenω(CPP)+ω(C)=5.0%,ω(CPP):ω(C)=1:1,ω(V1)+ω(V2)=5.0%,ω(V1):ω(V2)=1:2,ω(MEK):ω(TX):ω(BAC)=7:1:1.
