A kind of waterborne epoxy asphalt anticorrosive coating with both good mechanical properties and better anticorrosion performance is prepared, and different influencing factors of the mechanical properties and anticorrosive performances of the coatings are discussed in detail in this paper. The paper consists of two parts.In the first part, effects of type of waterborne epoxy resin systems, type of waterborne epoxy curing agents, ratio of waterborne epoxy resins to curing agents, ratio of waterborne epoxy resins to emulsified asphalt, type of anti-rust pigments, pigment volume concentration (PVC), dosage of anticorrosive pigments on the anticorrosive properties were discussed in detail. The results show that: the optimal film forming material is low molecular weight bisphenol a waterborne epoxy resin A and modified amine curing agent, when the mass ratio of waterborne epoxy resin A to curing agent is 2:1, the anticorrosive properties of coatings are excellent; when the mass ratio of waterborne epoxy resin A to emulsified asphalt is 1:1, the anticorrosive properties of coatings are excellent; the optimal ratio of Iron-titanium compound powder to iron oxide black is 1:1,and the optimal mass ratio of anticorrosive pigments in the overall pigments and fillers reach 50%; the coatings had the best performance when the pigment volume content(PVC) is 35% and thickness is between 150μm~180μm.In the second part, first, effects of type of waterborne acrylic resin, ratio of waterborne acrylic resin to emulsified asphalt, type and ratio of anticorrosive pigments and fillers, pigment volume concentration (PVC) on the anticorrosive properties were discussed in detail. The results show that: the finish who use styrene-acrylic emulsion A as film forming material has the best hardness and corrosion resistance; when the mass ratio of styrene-acrylic emulsion A to emulsified asphalt is 1:1, the anticorrosive properties of coatings are excellent; the optimal ratio of Iron-titanium compound powder to iron oxide red is 1:1,and the optimal mass ratio of anticorrosive pigments in the overall pigments and fillers reach 60%,the optimal ratio of talc powder to barium sulfate is 1:1; the coatings had the best performance when the pigment volume content(PVC) is 35% by investigating the structure of coatings with different PVC by SEM; when thickness is 120μm, the coatings had the best performance.The waterborne asphalt anticorrosive coating with both good mechanical properties and better anticorrosion performance is prepared,and the prospective performance index are reached.
