Polymer lithium battery is a high energy-density Power source. Because having many advantages such as high specific capacity, little possibility of electrolyte leakage, flexible packaging and shapes, polymer lithium battery has broad prospects and has received great interest in recent years. Polymer electrolytes have potential applications in lithium ion battery, therefore they have become one of the hot point in the research of lithium ion batteries at present. Plasticizers are usually added to improve the ionic conductivities of polymer electrolytes. In the study of polymer electrolyte, the use of organic solvents is the most effective method for increasing the plasticized polymer chain movement, the promotion of Li+ migration and improving the electrical conductivity. However, the commonly used plasticizer, there are still some limitations. In our work, a four-arm star-shaped plasticizer is synthesized STEO/EC mixed solvent was used as plasticizer and PEO was used as polymer matrix for the preparation of polymer electrolytes. Experimental results show that when the mass ratio of STEO and EC was 1:1, it had best plasticization effect on the polymer electrolyte. Meanwhile, electrochemical stability, lithium ion transport number, thermal stability and the interface resistances of polymer electrolytes were also studied...
