With the development of industry and establishment of peri-urban intensiveindustrial park, industrial waste water is growing. As the quality and quantity of industrialwaste water change widely, it is difficult to ensure wastewater discharged into municipalwastewater systems to meet water quality requirements in practice the management. Inaddition, some sudden environmental pollution accident may lead toxic or inhibitorysubstances into the sewerage system. It will impact biological treatment systems ofSewage Treatment Plant. For this problem, the test is based on the water qualitypurification plant of Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development WesternZone Phase II expansion project. Simulated the water accident as the main object of studyand based on traditional sludge oxygen uptake rate (OUR), it initially improve OURdetection device, in order to achieve online monitoring of wastewater OUR and avoidtoxic substances impacting on the biological treatment systems of water plant.Study mainly achieve the following results:(1)Improves the OUR device initially in the traditional DO bottle methods. Deviceintegration for the wastewater line measurement of OUR provided a possibility.Investigatesthe influence of sludge storage time,MLSS and reaction solution temperature in OURmeasured. When the sludge storage time is less than 8h, it does not consider the influenceof sludge activity on the test results; Wastewater and activated sludge have sufficientcontact time on the OUR detected when the MLSS is 600mg/L; Amend the detecte resultsof OUR using the temperature correction formula as the standard temperature of 25℃.(2)Detecting the OUR of analog influent for wastewater treatmentplant utilized theOUR device by initial improvemented,and combining with biological aeration test, itdetermines the threshold of inbibitional effect on influent for Xi-Qu wastewatertreatmentplant as OUR=35mg/(g ? h). By measuring OUR of acid and alkalinewastewater,heavy metal wastewater and phenol wastewater, activated sludge of aerationtanks can be adapted to pH = 4.9 ~ 8.8. Toxic substances in wastewater have nosignificant inhibitory effect on activated sludge as single heavy metal concentration ofHg2+<1mg/L,Cu2+<2mg/L,Cd2+<6mg/L,Pb2+<1mg/L in the heavy metal wastewater orphenol concentration is less than 550mg/L in the phenol wastewater.The innovation of this paper is initially improvement of OUR detection device,device integration provides the possibility of online detecting wastewater OUR. When OUR is determinated, temperature adjusting of wastewater pretreatment may change theexistence of toxic substances in wastewater. It will change the toxicity of wastewater. Thetest is use of the temperature and the relationship between the activity of activated sludge,for establishing temperature correction formula. When the water temperature rangedbetween 15~35 , it not to be temperature pretreatment, but to directly correc℃ttemperature for the results of determination.
