Research On Design Of Excess Woodiness Material In Furniture Industry

From the industrial revolution, manufacturing has grown quickly, so does the furniture production. With the development of economy and society, population and human needs are growing,resources and environmental issues are serious at the same time.Furniture industry of scale consumes a lot of environmental costs. Furniture manufacturing will use a lot of wood and other infrastructure resources, and it make a bad effect on the environment. When furniture manufacturing produces wealth for society, excess woodiness material is always ignored.This paper is just doing some research on excess woodiness material, hoping to generate more value than expected by designing.Through short-term research, long-term practice, questionnaire survey, design fabricate and other methods, the paper obtained a large number of first-hand information, meanwhile, sorted out the various information and data through literature search, data reading, scientific analysis and other means.The research shows some conclusions as the following of the paper:(1) Existing furniture industry produce large amounts of excess woodiness material in the production process . More common approach now is the factory itself as a boiler fuel burned, sold ( in most cases also as fuel l)and as furniture production filler.(2) Summarize the handling of process of excess woodiness material in furniture factory. classify excess material according to their size , according to classification storage, get the material from storeroom when it is needed.(3)Comb out design techniques of excess woodiness material. Mainly from the style, surface treatment (focusing on technics), surface decoration pattern (emphasis decoration) three different aspects discourse.(4) List means of development direction of excess woodiness material by design. the paper specialized three ways to design excess woodiness material: firstly, according to the special shape of excess woodiness material to design; secondly, individuation to design excess woodiness material ; lastly, due to pattern factor to anaylze to design excess woodiness material(take life daily necessities as example).On this basis, the paper made a series of development practice for woodiness material wood.
