This article focus on forsterite and carbon as the main material, and press alumina or not into the sample, were fired in nitrogen atmosphere. It's contain MgO, SiC, FeO, C. By using XRD analyzing technique, the phase compositions of the sintered samples have been detected.Study the modified phase composition at the same temperature of different components, and the same components of different temperatures. For separation to produce the MgO, SiC, FeO, C and components of a mixture phase. Through carbonation method, magnetic separation, carbonation-magnetic separation to separate MgO and FeO. And to verify the efficiency of magnetic separation and carbonation method by chemical.The results showed that, that added Al2O3 will be the better composite for separation, and the sintered temperature was 1600℃and 1650℃.When the magnetic field intensity is 1.6T and the granularity of -30μm 90%, the FeSi and MgO have good sorting.
