Recent years, purposefully design and synthesis the complexs which have novel structures and new functions has become research focus. In these complexes, self- assemble by trisition metal ions and organic ligands containing nitrogen or oxygen atom, are attracting more attention for their unique structure and properties, and has become important research area in coordination chemistry and crystal engineering. The potentially application of these compounds will be extensive in the field of molecular self-assembly, molecular recognition, molecular catalysis, magnetic material, photoe- lectric material, pharmaceutical synthesis etc.In this paper, two kinds of organic ligands: nitronyl nitroxide radicals and Schiff base have been used, and benzoic anion, pivalic anion, sodium azide, sodium dicyanamide etc. have been selected as co-ligands. According to the principle of molecular design and molecular engineering, sixteen complexs have been synthesized by molecular self-assembly. The main works are as following.1. Twelve complexs were designed and synthesized by the nitronyl nitroxide radicals (NITpPy) , which are [M(PhCOO)2 (NITpPy)2(H2O)x]·yH2O [M= Mn(1), Cd (2), Co (3),Cu (4)], [Mn(dca)2(NITpPy)2(H2O)2] (5), [Co(N3)2(NITpPy)4] (6), [Cu2(PhCOO)4(NITpPy)2]·2M [M= MeOH(7);DMF(8)], [Cu2(Piv)4(NITpPy)2] (9),[Cu2(μ-M)2(NITpPy)4]·2ClO4 [M= MeO-(10);N3-(11)], [Cu3(N3)6(NITpPy)2 H2O]·2H2O(12), where NITpPy=2(-4′-pyridyl)-4, 4, 5, 5-tetramethylimidazoline-1- oxyl-3-oxide, Piv= pivalic anion.2. Four complexs were designed and synthesized by the Schiff base and 2,2′- bipyridine, which are three Schiff base-metal compounds [Cu(L1)2](13),[Cu(L2)2](14),[Zn(L3)](215)and one 2-D network compound {[Fe(bipy)3][Fe(dca)3]2}(n16), where HL1= 3-pyridylmethyl-salicylidene-imine, HL2=3- pyridylmethyl - ( 2- hydroxyl-3- methoxy - benzylidene)- imine, H2L3= N,N-bis(salicylidene)ethane-1,2- diamine, bipy=2,2′- bipyridine , dca= dicyanamide anion.3. sixteen compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis and IR, and the cystal structures have been determined by X-ray diffraction. At last, the magnetic property of part of compounds have been investigated for their potential application on the field of electromagenetism and material sicence in the future.
