More and more oil resources are needed by the world nowadays, the oil storage in the offshore oil field or the land field is less and less, therefore, in order to meet the rising needs of the oil energy resources, people are exploring the oil field in the deep sea domain. Because of the adaptability for working in the deep sea, Semi-submersible platform has been widely used in the deep sea oil field for drilling, extracting, processing and storage. In order to ensure the platform to work normaly, the action of mooring system is one of the most important aspects. So, for the demand of mooring system designing, author has done several works as follow.(1)Static analysis of mooring system. Author has established the multi-compositions catenary equations by catenary method. Taking a two-compositions mooring line as an example, it's shape and force was calculated.(2)Dynamic analysis of mooring system. 2D and 3D Dynamic analysis of mooring line has completed by lumped-mass method. Kinematic equation and constraint equation have established, then Houbolt method and Newton-Simpson method were used to solve the Kinematic equation.(3)Coupling analysis in time domain. Coupling equation in time domain was established, and loads of the mooring system was transformed form frequency domain to time domain.(4) Analysis for multi-points mooring system had conducted by ABAQUS. 2D model had established, and two conditions had compared, considering or without considering the motions of cable chock, Tension Variation Curves and Displacement Variation Curves had received. Then though 3D model, dynamic properties of eight points and twelve points mooring systems had compared. By those works, useful reference value had provided for actual engineering design.
