QHD32-6 oil field belongs to high oil reservoir with complicated geological conditions, which is located in north-central part of Bohai Bay. As for the problems of water shutoff in QHD32-6 oil field, such as low success ratio and large formation damage and so on. Water shutoff in QHD32-6 oil field was studied in this paper, including water shutoff agent viscosity, transition pressure, mechanism and application performance.HPAM and aluminium citrate crosslinking system was used according to the formation conditions of the QHD32-6 oil field. Viscosity and transition pressure of crosslinking system were studied, which is about the effects of HPAM concentration, HPAM/ Al3+mass ratio, pH value and water for preparation. System formula is that HPAM concentration is less than 600 mg/L, HPAM/ Al3+mass ratio is 20:1, KCl concentration is 5000mg/L and these were prepared with clear water. Mechanism of crosslinking system was summarized through microcosmic shape with optical microscope, Static adsorption with ultraviolet spectrometer and dynamic retention. Application performance was also studied, including plugging proterty, selective plugging and resistance to erosion.QHD32-6 oil field F28 well was chosen for chemical water plugging,which resulted in low daily fluid production rate and high daily oil production.F28 well is still more effective up to now.
