With the development of nano-technology, varieties of nanomaterials have attracted much attention. This theme is mainly focused on the synthesis of nanomaterials and its application in analytical chemistry. We studied the synthesis and application of Ag nanoparticles, the synthesis of ZnS nanoparticles on a solid mica surface and the application of Au nanoparticles in biological analysis by atomic force microscopy (AFM) and electrochemistry. The main contents of the study in this manuscript are as follows:1.A layer of sliver nanoparticles was prepared on the surface of the electrode by roughening the Ag electrode in KCl solution. The modified electrode showed a good electrocatalytic response towards the reduction of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).2.The growth of ZnS nanoparticles on the surface of mica was investigated by AFM. The results showed that the growth of ZnS depended on the reaction temperature, mica surface, DNA and the concentration of Zn2+. The size of ZnS nanoparticles can be controlled by adjusting these factors.3.At first, the functional gold nanoparticles were synthesized successfully. The hydrophobic, alkanethiol-capped nanoparticles featured a 4-nm gold core, with an overall diameter of 8.7 nm. Then the endonuclease enzyme was fixed on the surface of the functional gold nanoparticles by self-assembly. The fixed EcoRI is meaningful to the study of protein-DNA.
