Landslide usually causes huge hazard when it happens. With the development of society and economy, engineering construction in every country and region has increased, the scale of the landslide becomes more and more broad, and the formation mechanism becomes more and more complex, which bring many difficulties to the investigation.In this article, the stability analysis of SiChuan MuLi Slope is set as the main line, combining those two methods, limiting equilibrium method and finite element method, to the stability synthetical evaluation of the Slope. Meanwhile, the simulation of preliminary prevention is carried out, which can be the reference for the similar project prevention. The main conclusions are as follows :1. In natural condition (the first case), the stability of SiChuan MuLi Slope is stable on the cut plane of 2-2 and 7-7, but otherwise 1-1,5-5 and 6-6 is unstable, only the local (cut plane of 3-3 and 4-4) is in stability, but the safety reserve is very low; in heavy rainfall and earthquake action: the cut plane of 2-2 and 7-7 is still stable.2. From the method of finite-element:we can find that in heavy rainfall condition, the total displacement of the cut plane of 5-5 of Slope is 0.694m, the level of primary stress is higher, shear stress decreased obviously, the zone of shear plastic deformation and equivalent plastic strain appearances extend to the base of the dam, and have the tendency of sliding align the interface with rock base on the second grade of the dam. The max of the plastic strain is 0.021 on the dam base and the second grade. The equivalent plastic strain is 0.150 on the base of filled soil. So the potential sliding surface maybe through the base dam or the second grade of the dam.3. After the prevention, The total displacement, primary stress and the shear stress of slip plane have got great reduction or adjustment and the distriction of shearing plastic strain and equivalent plastic strain are also got obvious improvement. The cut plane of 5-5 Slope is on elastic condition in substance, only the top of the filled soil and the around of anti-slide pile enter the plastic strain condition, the zone of the shear strain decreased greatly.
