Hot Deformation Behavior Of GH4145 Superalloy

The testing data of GH4145 superalloy was gotten by isothermal compression testing method using Gleeble-3800 thermal simulator.The interdependences of flow stressσ,strain rate s and deformation temperature T for the alloy have been studied.The restoration mechanisms of the alloy at high temperatures have also been studied.At last,the processing maps for the alloy have been drawn with the Origin8.0 software and have been analyzed in detail.The main contents are as follows:1.GH4145 superalloy has a near steady plastic flow during isothermal compression deformation in the range of 950℃~1200℃and 0.5-1~50s-1.The flow stress increases when decreasing of deformation temperature and increasing of strain rate.The results show that the stress of GH4145 superalloy is sensitive to strain rate s positively.2.There is the process of hot activation under high temperature deformation for GH4145 superalloy under the deformation conditions.The relations of flow stressσ,strain rate s and deformation temperature T can be described by a hyperbolic sine function for the alloy during the deformation process. Using testing results deformation activation energy Q, the structure factor A, the level of stress exponent n and the stress value of parameter a and the flow stress function of GH4145 superalloy can be calculated during the deformation process. The equation is:3.The hot deformation microstructure of GH4145 superalloy are very sensitive to deformation conditions. As temperature increases, the recrystallization grains grow significantly;as the strain rate increases,the recrystallization grain are more fine.4.Different deformation temperature and strain rate has a very important influence on the size,number and distribution of y'phase of GH4145 superalloy.5.The processing maps for the GH4145 superalloy have been drawn with the Origin8.0 software and have been analyzed in details.At last,the region of the best processing property and the instability area for the alloy has been determined.
