As the aggravation of wastewater pollution of heavy metals, several new methods of wastewater disposal received much attention. Among them, the optimum combination of many kinds processing technology is research hotspots on the new wastewater treatment technology, As a kind of ecological wastewater treatment technology, the artificial wetlands technology has been broadly used in recent years. It is very interesting because energy consumption is low and administration is convenient. But the artificial wetlands technology has many defects such as area requirement is high. The electrolyze treatment technology is making use of electrochemistry reaction and the migration and conversion of pollution in solution to realize the wastewater purification. The electric tank has various functions such as the oxidation, deoxidation, flocculation, precipitation. It has great future in wastewater treatment. But it also has some defects, such as high cost, high energy consumptions and side effects.In this correspondence, we introduce the common technologies of heavy metal wastewater treatment and the mechanism and research progress of the artificial wetlands sewage treatment technology. And the possible effect that the electric field for the artificial wetland plant and microorganism is discussed. All of these provide a theoretic fundament of the theory in paper. At first, we study the physiological response of the micro electric field on artificial wetlands plant and a single process purifying effect. On this basis, the optimum operating conditions of the micro electric field-artificial wetlands coupled system were optimized; secondly, from the comparison with artificial wetland, the micro electric field-artificial wetlands coupled system in optimizing the operation condition of the treatment effect was studied; finally, By monitoring the heavy metal content of matrix and plants in wetland system, reveal the migration rule of the heavy metal in the system, and probes the contributions to the heavy metal removement of every part in system.The micro electric field-artificial wetlands coupled system possess the advantages while possess no disadvantages of both of them. Electric field-artificial wetlands coupled systems achieve the purpose of taking of pollution by the complicated coordination and coactions. The electric field-artificial wetlands coupled system no only broken the defect of traditional wetlands but also has great future in strengthen the purification of plants and microorganism using electric field. Besides, the propose of micro electric field-artificial wetlands coupled system provide a new technology of wastewater treatment with low cost and high efficiency, and has great significance in development of wastewater treatment of China.
