As the third general supramolecular compounds, Calixarenes have received particular interests in past two decades. All kinds of calixarene derivatives may be obtained considering the molecular"Platform or building block", based on calix[n]arene skeletons. In this paper, several kinds of oxacalix[4]arene linked porphyrins derivatives were synthesized using several familiar benzaldehydes as original reactants and some of their porpeties were studied by the fluorescence and UV-Vis methods. The content consists of following four chapters:In chapter 1, a general introduction to the origin of calixarenes and the progress of their application on molecular recognition was presented. Based on the concerning updated development and our experiment conditions, the research proposal for this thesis was designed.In chapter 2, several Oxacalix[4]arene linked porphyrins as free bases, biszinc,bisnickel, biscopper and bisiron complexes were synthesized and characterized in detail.In chapter 3, The spectral and electrical properties of several oxacalix[4]arene linked porphyrins as free bases, biszinc,bisnickel, biscopper and bisiron complexes were studied by UV-vis,fluorescence technique and cyclic voltammograms method.In chapter 4, the work of this thesis was summarized briefly, and the following research in future was proposed.
