The steel strip with tailorability, flatten, bending, stamping and greater coverage, which is widely used in all branches of the national economy, so the cold rolled strip shape is an important measure of the product quality. In modern continuous annealing line, it must keep the tension within compass and stable enough; moreover it should be homogeneous distribution. Effected by shape defects after cold rolled, temperature distribution in furnace, strip tension, etc., the stress distribution on transverse direction of the steel strip is not even in process of production, which are likely to cause misalignment and buckling. These factors affect not only stability of the steel strip when running, but also the quality of the products. these problems have troubled the strip production for years and must be solved immediately.Continuous annealing furnace is not only the core portion of continuous anneal unit and hot galvanization unit, but the key position which affects stable operation of the unit. During preheating, heating, insulation, cooling, the stress distribution is irregular, which is effected by thermal stress, tension, the transverse stress distribution of the strip in continuous annealing furnace. In order to ensure stable running of the steel strip and quality of the shape, reasonably well-designed profile of guide roller is extremely important, which is one of the difficult and hot spots in industry sector. Therefore, it has great theoretical value and obvious practiced meaning to research in this field.Based on relative literature and field survey, stress-model in continuous annealing furnace is set up by finite element methods. NO.1 continuous anneal/hot galvanization unit in Cold Rolling plant of a Steel Group is beset by serious problems about edge wave.Relations during contagious distribution of transverse temperature,Shape defects, intersectional angle of tension rollers are quantitative Researched to illustrate distribution laws of the stress, and influence extent of related factors on stress distribution on transverse direction. On that basis, profiles of guide rollers are designed to homogenize the tensile stress and improve shape quality.Several accomplishments are achieved as follows: 1. The finite element model of steel strip and guide rollers are established. The transverse distribution of tensile stress is analyzed, which is under different strip shapes and transverse distribution of temperatures. The correlation is intended to provide a reliable base in theory for getting reasonable profile of guide rollers.2. Influence of intersectional angle of tension rollers on transverse stress distribution is researched for the first time. Depending on the different influence extent. On the understanding that it will have no effect on misalignment correcting, reasonable profile of guide roller is designed, which reduces stress difference, in the meantime, much larger edge wave (left edge wave or right edge wave) is avoided.
