This study investigates the influences upon Kevlar49 fibers modified by varied duration of pure Helium plasma in 65% RH (relative humidity) and 95%RH conditions. There are 4 groups were treated by atmospheric pressure plasma jet (APPJ) commensurately for 8s,24s,40s and 72s in each condition. Then interfacial shear strengths (IFSS) of these specimens were examined by microbond pull-out test; and through the IFSS values, the interfacial bondability of all the treated were improved; however, the curve tendency goes up firstly and goes down afterwards with treatment time increasing. Besides, IFSS value in 65%RH was superior to that in 95%RH; and the curve slope in 65%RH was larger than that in 95%RH. Meanwhile, surface morphology and chemical composition changes of each samples increased.
