Water pollution accident is a vicious accident which caused significant loss of state property and serious damage to people's lives. Emergency monitoring technique for water pollution accident as the important link in disposition and aftercare of accident is increasingly becoming a very important area of work. However, there's no effective measures to achieve in-situ,real time and rapid monitoring technique for water pollutants suddenly rise, the lack of contingency plans and measures related to technical support. The emergency monitoring technology in sudden water pollution accident which is based on the biological toxicity using Daphnia magna as a indicator organism was studied in this paper. The list of priority control pollutants was established through a survey of study area, the acute toxicity of pollutants to Daphnia magna was investigated. The results showed that the acute toxicity of different pollutants on Daphnia magna is different , which may related to different toxic mechanism of pollutants. The time of pollutants toxic effect on Daphnia and the behavioral indicators antenna swing and non-linear movement was studied after the acute toxicity test of Daphnia magna, the results show that the toxic effects of pollutants with different points of time there is different, and the deviation is large , Daphnia behavior change and exposure concentrations were significantly correlated linear relationship, the change for the different pollutants are significantly different but the change trends are similar. It is found that different indexes will increase with exposure concentrations increasing and the change degree is obvious different. Through analyzing the index change degree of Daphnia magna , this paper points out that the same index in different pollutants has obvious differences . It should be related to variation of toxic mechanism of pollutants.By modeling THL (Time of Half Lethal) of the Daphnia magna at different concentrations pollutants , it is found that the survival time of Daphnia is directly related to environmental pressure. The model (THL = Ax~B) is established, THL is in situ monitoring value and x is analyzed by comparing the water pollutant concentration. A and B are coefficients in a certain range ,10
