Reinforced concrete structure is susceptible to damage from Corrosion under the actions of the various physical and chemical because of its location in harsh environment. The Reinforced concrete structure, especially as offshore platforms, port terminals and sea bridge which are in marine environment, is vulnerable to the erosion of chloride ions in the sea water and the electrochemical corrosion caused by corrosion, that makes its life is often not achieve the desired requirements. According to research status at home and abroad, cathodic protection technology has been proven to be a more effective technology for a reinforcement corrosion protection. The key point of this technology is to determine the parameters of applied current density and the protection potential. At present, empirical value is usually used in the engineering, and we should make further exploration. In addition, the monitoring of protection systems is still relatively backward, and needs a development research of intelligent monitoring and control equipment.1. Comprehend corrosion protection technology of reinforced concrete at home and abroad. This paper Analysis advantages and shortcomings of various corrosion protection technologies. And research focused on the application and development of cathodic protection.2. Master the cathodic protection technology and research theoretical knowledge of the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Analysis the application of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in determining the protective potential, using spectrum and equivalent circuit to study the method of system3. This paper proposes a method that determination the protection potential based on cathodic polarization curves. By analyzing the verification, there is a unique curve inflection point in the protection region. The point's polarization has a maximum value and the slowest corrosion rate, which could be used as a protection point of mathematical calculations.4. A terminal control equipment is developed in this paper. This work contains completing the hardware and software design, achieving its communication to the monitoring center PC. Through experimental tests, this system can successfully collects the current and polarization potential of the protected reinforcement, and can automatically apply the current required according to the environment changes so as to achieve the purpose of real-time protection.
