Coordination polymer is a metal-organic framework with periodic network structure which is constructed by small molecular ligands and metal ions through self-assemble process, and has OD, 1D,2D and 3D frameworks. Coordination polymer has the mild synthesis condition, more kinds of material, special physics and chemistry characters (these materials have potential applications in areas such as catalysis, separations, storage, photoluminescence, magnetism and nonlinear materials) than other complexes. The aim of this thesis is to synthesize new metal-drug coordination compounds on the basis of organic drugs, aromatic polycarboxylate ligands, organic N-donor ligands and metal ions. In this dissertation, we have focused our study on the syntheses, structure and properties of metal-drug complexes with kinds of ligands, analysis influence of ligands and metal ions on the formation of the metal-drug complexes and to explore the relationships between structure and properties for these now compounds. We have prepared 12 new metal-drug complexes on the basis of hydrothermal technique and structurally characterized by elemental analyses, IR, EPR, XPS, XRPD, TG and single crystal X-ray diffractions. The thermal stabilities, magnetic properties and fluorescent activity of these compounds have been studied.1:Nine new metal-quinolone complexes have been hydrothermally synthesized on the basis of 4-quinolones drugs (such as Ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin and piperamic acid), aromatic polycarboxylate ligands and metal ions.[Cu3(ppa)2(oba)2(H2O)2]·3H2O (1)[Co4(Hppa)4(oba)4]·8H2O (2)[Cu4(Hppa)2(btec)2(H2O)4]·3H2O(3)[Cu4(Hnorf)2(btec)2(H2O)4]·3H2O(4)[Cd2(cfH)2(btec)(H2O)2]·6H2O (5)[Pb(norf)(NO3)] (6)[Cu(cfH)(oba)] (7)[Cu(ppa)2(H2O)2]·2(Hoba) (8)[Co(cfH)2(H2O)2]·(H2btec)·5H2O(9) Compound 1 exhibits a novel 3D network structure featuring two distinct helices and Cu3 cluster. Compound 2 represents a 1D chain and the 1D chain generates a 3D network structure on the basis of hydrogen bonds. Compounds 3 and 4 exhibit a novel 1D chain and the 1D chain generates a 3D network structure on the basis of hydrogen bonds andπ-πstacking. Compounds 3 and 4 represent the first example of metal-quinolone complexes on the basis of the 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylic acid. The structures of 5 consist of unique three-dimensional based on the two-dimensional layer featuring two distinct helices. Compound 6 is a unique 1D chain of binodal network. The 1D chain structure of 7 is similar to that of 2. The supramolecular structures of 8 and 9 contain OD structure and OD structure generate a 3D network structure on the basis of hydrogen bonds andπ-πstacking.2:Rational self-assemblies of the anti-inflammatory drug olsalazine (H4osa) and cobalt salt in the presence of linear bidentate ligands yield two novel metal-drug complexes.[Co(H2osa)(bpp)] (10)[Co2(osa)(bpy)2(H2O)4] (11)Compound 10 displays a new 2D→3D parallel polycatenation of undulated (4,4) layers, while 11 exhibits an unusual 2D→3D inclined polycatenation of (6,3) layers. They represent the first examples of metal-olsalazine complexes having both polycatenane and meso-helix character.3:A new metal-drug complex has been hydrothermally synthesized on the basis of ozagrel drug and Cu ion. Its structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses and further characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra, X-ray powder diffraction, and TG analyses.[Cu(oza)2]·H2O (12)Compound 12 exhibits a novel 2D binodal layer structure featuring two distinct helices, and 2D layer generates a 3D network structure on the basis ofπ-πstacking.
