| Magnesium alloys as the lightest metal engineering materials in the practical application, with its low density, high specific strength and excellent performance have become an increasing concern. Magnesium and magnesium alloy products in the market prospect is very broad, but the application of magnesium alloys has been greatly limited due to the passing rate of magnesium alloy products is too low. So, the recovery of waste products is a key issue. A large amount of slag will generate in the recovery process leading to the high cost and low recovery rate, according to the traditional method of the liquid recycling ,which is the re-melting process need to add refineing agent and cover agent.In this paper, the deformation magnesium alloy AZ31 as research object which is widely used. The daily production of waste in a magnesium corporation of Qingxu as the recycling target. The regeneration of magnesium alloy was hot extrusion after cold pressing in a rational design of extrusion mould ,and heat treatment to has good mechanical properties.In this paper the Cr12 mold steel was choosed as extrusion mould, determining a reasonable compression ratio, drawing reasonable cold and hot extrusion mould figure. Then, the mould should be selection of billets, rough machining, heat treatment, finishing, and finally get the cold, hot extrusion mould for the test required.AZ31 magnesium alloy was studied at different extrusion temperatures. Then analyzed the relationship between the extrusion temperature and the mechanical properties of the sample to identify the most suitable extrusion temperature. The results showed that the best extrusion temperature of magnesium alloy chip is 450℃by analyzing the microstructure combined with mechanical properties. The mechanical properties of magnesium alloy achieve the optimum at that temperature.SiC/AZ31 composites was prepared using the same extrusion for exploration and research, choosed AZ31 as matrix and SiC as enhanced base. The mechanical properties of AZ31 matrix was researched adding different amounts of SiC. The results showed that the extrusion temperature of composite is 450℃by analysis of temperature and increase the enhanced base content on the properties of the matrix from both micro and macro. the mechanical properties of magnesium alloys does not improve by adding SiC , however, the hardness increased. |
