As the quick development of the remote sensing(RS) technology, the RS images are widely used in fields of national defense, land resource, environment, natural resource and so on. Applications in the marine also continue to expand and deepen, it has become an indispensable data source in shoreline survey, island conservation and planning, marine use, ecological survey and evaluation, oil spill and red tide monitoring. Since the "China Offshore Marine Comprehensive Investigation and Evaluation" (hereinafter referred to "908" Progeam), It has been bought a lot of RS images of the island and coastal areas. However, the RS images have some typical characteristics, such as high quality, multi-source, multi-type, multi-resolution, which impose some challenge on the storage, management, and share of these data.This paper constructs RS images database based on SQL Server 2005, after in-depth study of commonly used RS image types and according to the technical specifications and practical work experience. It includes the original images database, rectified images database, fusion images database. Images database management system and web publish system are established in order to facilitate administrator doing data updates, delete and so on, to facilitate users queries,download and web share.For another, the original image correction is the key step in image mosaic, image fusion, and change detection. The traditional original image correction is using the ground control points(GCPs) for geographical coordinate correction. But, the acquisition of GCPs always needs lots of time, what's more, the GCPs often only used once to be wasted.Another GCPs images database is also constructed base on a large number of GCPs image data which acquird from image acquisition and field GPS survey. It achieves the effective management and efficient using of GCPs data. A image matching software is developed based on Interactive Data Language (IDL), and effectively improves the original image registration.This paper contains RS images database and GCPs images database, system of image database management, system of network publishing, software of image matching. All of these will be provided reference for "Digital Marine".
